Karoon is a joint venture company owned (40.9% by Bandar Imam Petrochemical Company of Iran, 30.6% by Chematur Engineering International Ltd. of Sweden, 20.4% by Petrochemical Industries Investment Company of Iran and 8.1% by Hansa Group AG of Germany.)
Chematur Engineering AB, the licensor for the project, handles engineering works and procures equipment required by its proprietary technology.
